Captive Solutions Practice Leader – EMEA; Head of Office – Dublin

CURRENT RESPONSIBILITIES

Ian is Head of Office for Marsh’s captive management office in Dublin. Dublin is Marsh’s centre of excellence for direct writing, having established and managed in excess of 40 companies to issue direct policies under the EU Freedom of Services Directive.

Ian has overall responsibility for the co-ordination of management services provided to insurance and treasury companies operating within Dublin's International Financial Services Centre. The range of activities under supervision includes accounting, administrative, treasury and insurance related services.  

EXPERIENCE

Ian joined Marsh in 1990, as the first employee in the Dublin captive management office. Prior to this he worked with Deloitte & Touche as a Senior Manager in Dubai and Bahrain, having qualified as a Chartered Accountant with them in Dublin in 1983.

EDUCATION

Ian holds a Bachelor of Commerce Degree from University College Dublin and is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Ireland.
