Wealth Business Leader, Philippines
Harold Tan is the Wealth Leader for Mercer in the Philippines and joined in 2019. Harold has 17 years of experience in research, wealth and the banking industry; and across the Asian region. He started his career in Gartner Inc., a US-based research company, in Sydney. From there, he moved into the banking industry and has worked with Citibank, OCBC Bank and Standard Chartered Bank in Kuala Lumpur. Harold held various roles at Standard Chartered Bank including Investment Consultant and Team Manager in the Wealth Management department, and subsequently became the Head of Investment Strategy and Advisory in the same department in Manila, Philippines. His last role was Vice President and Head of Premier Wealth at Maybank Philippines.
Harold holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business, Statistical Marketing and Advertising from the University of Technology Sydney and an Associate degree in Business and Commerce from the London South Bank University. He is fluent in English, Bahasa Melayu (Malay), Bahasa Indonesia (Indonesian) and Tagalog & Bisaya (Filipino & Filipino Dialect).
