CEO, Mercer Philippines
Teng is the CEO of Mercer Philippines. She has over 30 years’ experience in the financial services industry.
She joined Mercer Marsh Benefits in December 2012 after nearly 15 years’ stint with a foreign bank handling various lines of business and top management leadership roles in insurance and investments. She has been responsible for managing the retail insurance broking as well as the cards, loans and retail bank clients via multi-delivery channels. The products under her portfolio have ranged from credit-related insurance to life, personal accident, health and investment-linked insurance.
Prior to joining Mercer Philippines, Teng was the President of Citicorp Financial Services & Insurance Brokerage Philippines Inc. (CFSI), the insurance and investments broking arm of Citibank NA in the Philippines. Teng also has a background in product development and sales market research as she has worked for one of the biggest foreign life insurance company in the Philippines for 10 years. Her experience in marketing and research also extends to the banking industry with her stints in two local banks in the country.
Teng has a B.S. Mathematics degree, with distinction, from St, Scholastica’s College, Manila and a MBA candidate major in Marketing from De La Salle University. She is also a Fellow, from the Life Office Management Association, USA.
