Career

Michelle is the Chief Risk & Compliance Officer for Mercer in the Pacific Market. She is a recognised industry leader with extensive governance, risk and compliance experience, and a specialist in regulatory reform. 

Prior to Mercer, Michelle held many senior risk roles, including Head of Compliance, Head of Merger Integration, Head of Group Risk and Change and Head of Operational Risk for the Wealth and Retail Banking divisions of Westpac.

With over 15 years’ experience in building and managing risk and compliance teams, she has had diverse experience in multiple areas including, mergers and acquisitions, Board, risk and audit committee governance, financial advice, technology risk , capital adequacy requirements, operating model restructures and new product developments.

Michelle holds various Legal, Human Resources, Business and Learning Development qualifications.
