“We are proud of the progress we have made on gender equality and obtaining this certification demonstrates our commitment to diversity. At Mercer, providing everyone with equal opportunity for development and advancement is paramount, and we are determined to do more to ensure all our employees thrive. Promoting gender equality is not only the right thing to do, it is also a good business strategy.” Fiona Dunsire, CEO, Mercer UK

To be certified, EDGE conducted a comprehensive review of policies, practices and data, and  surveyed all Mercer colleagues in the UK.  As a result, EDGE confirmed that Mercer UK is above average and more gender balanced when compared against each of its peer groups – both commercial and professional services companies, worldwide and in the UK. It highlighted that Mercer is above average in the gender composition of:

  • % of women in the total workforce,
  • % of women in management positions,
  • % of women in junior management positions and
  • % of women in top management positions.

“Mercer is a true example of authentic commitment and organizational alignment as highlighted in their own When Women Thrive research.  It is clear from leaders and colleagues in the company who walk the talk and understand the link to business success and sustainable change.” Aniela Unguresan, Co-Founder, EDGE Certified Foundation
